Types of restaurants in Taiwan

Types of restaurants in Taiwan
Eating is human nature; people eat for living. Nowadays, people eat not only for living, but also for flavor, atmosphere, even depending on their mood. Some people think that it is not important to eat, they just eat for living, other people maybe think eating is the most important thing in their life, it needs to be significant. Therefore, Taiwan shows up more and more restaurants with different cuisines to satisfy different customers. No matter what reasons, there are many different kinds of restaurants which can be classified from their style, location, service, and price. However, I think the most important is price, so we can classify restaurants in Taiwan into three groups according to price.
The first group, higher priced restaurants, also called fine dining restaurants. Generally, customers will choose to high price restaurants and do not care about price very much, even though most of the portions of their dishes are insufficient because they want to pursue service quality, delicate and rare cuisine, and romantic or good atmosphere. They want to be view as VIP, enjoy is very important to them, of course, they need to pay more money to exchange this kind of enjoy. Another point to these restaurants is about pursuing beauty of food. Today, foods and arts can be combined, and this is also one of the reasons why people choose them. The Raw and Ruth’s Chris are typical high price and high-quality restaurants in Taiwan.
The second group is medium-priced. Medium-priced restaurants are not so delicate and special as higher priced restaurants. Their dishes are more common and cheaper than those high levels. But recently, more and more restaurants have claimed that they use high-class ingredients, a new style of ordering, and interesting activities to appeal customers. Generally, most of their customers choose these restaurants are office workers, couples for celebrating anniversaries, family for birthday, or students together for celebrating particular festivals. In Taiwan, this kind of restaurants become more and more common, and every restaurant all have their characteristics, especially in Taipei or other restaurant chains in many places.
Of course, the last one is lower-priced. In this kind of restaurant, their ingredients are cheaper and common, and their cooking methods are much easier; cooking time is also relatively short. I think that it is very appropriate to those who are busy and do not want to cook. But they may have a shortage – fresh and clean; because of their low cost, some restaurants will use stale or unclean food to provide to customers, so sometimes it will cause many problems of food safety. On the other hand, if their food is fresh and delicious, their restaurants will have a long line and customers will post their dishes on Facebook or Instagram to appeal more and more people. For example, oyster omelet, minced pork rice, and stinky tofu, they are all cheap and delicious.

Taiwan is really a wonderful country; we have many restaurants to choose, from higher price to lower price, everyone can choose what they want. People also have other reasons to choose, but I believe that most of them may care more about price.

My Favorite Sight

In each place in the world, there are many beautiful views, like some spectacular landscapes which are created by nature or some classical medieval architecture. Although these are really magnificent, in my eyes, the most beautiful sight is love. No matter what kinds of love, I think love just makes us feel touched, and that is the most beautiful sight. Love has many types, and these caring behaviors are really touched me.
First, we have recently seen these kinds of cases frequently on the Facebook or some TV news. These cases are that some older people are crossing the road, but they are slow because they are old or they have many things in their hands, then some motorcyclists or drivers will show up to help those older people and direct the traffic, after the mission, they disappear, like unsung heroes. I remember that when I was a child, teachers often told us if we can, we should help elders to cross the road. Everybody knows that, but it is difficult to do it. If you want to do it, you not only have the idea in your mind but also have braveness because you can’t care about how people think of you; I think this is the biggest challenge to me, so I never try it, and I really appreciate and admire them. I hope this world can show up more and more people like that, of course, I will try to overcome myself and do it.
The second is about the relationships between people and animals.
Many people like to keep pets entertaining themselves, but they do not think how pure and loyal they are; they never betray their masters, but we abandon them when we are tired of looking after them or we don’t want to spend money to ask others to look after them. So they become homeless, just wandering in the streets until they are taken by some kind people. They must be angels in those stray dogs’ and cats’ eyes because they feed them, love them, and also give them a new home. Once, I saw a video on Facebook, a master of having two dogs wanted to see that what happened when he put the dogs on the street like they were abandoned. Then, a vagrant showed up and fed the dogs, so the master asked him why he wanted to feed the dogs, and he answered because he knows the feeling of hungriness, he used his all money to buy dog food. I think this condition is unexpected to the master and everybody. The scene of the vagrant are feeding the dogs is really touching me, I can’t forget it.

Love, it not only refers to an emotion or attraction between two people, but also means kindness, compassion, and many different feelings. I really appreciate those who give their love to those really need to help and care them. Everyone is equal; everyone can love and can be loved, no matter what they are, vagrants, animals, even plants. So when I see those caring people are doing something meaningful, I really want to take a picture to memorize my favorite sights.

Road trip3

Road trip

My hometown is Kaohsiung. I live in a street named Ding Sheng. In Chinese, I think it means people live on this street can earn much money and lead a perfect life. This street connects an avenue. Although this road is peace and quiet, sometimes it will happen on some frightening things. Someday night, everybody was asleep, and I heard a siren loudly in my sleep. Then, the siren became more and more closer, and I was stirred by this sound. I felt annoying when I was awakened. So, I got up and opened the window with my older sister; we wanted to see who bothered us. We saw a police car parking in front of my house, and the police accused a drunk who lied on my neighbor’s car; the police scolded him. I know it sounds nothing, but when you see a scene which just will occur on TV news generally; you will found that is unbelievable and feel shocking. Another thing happened on a raining day. I remembered that I walked to home alone from MRT station. When I close to block, I saw many people standing on the avenue and twittering. A motorcycle had fallen to the ground and a white car had stopped on the central divide of the avenue; I thought just a common traffic accident, but I went back home and watched the TV news, knowing a horrible fact. There were four people in the white car, and they seemed to have drugs or drunk driving, moreover, also having a gun in the car. And the accident is when the car hit a motorcycle and the car driver tried to flee, so he ran into our street, but an enthusiastic person helped police to catch him. Fortunately, no people hurt. However, a peaceful street sometimes will appeal some illegal people.

Road Trip-Champs-Elysees 2

Road Trip— Champs-Elysees in Paris
I like to observe people’s expressions, and I also like to imagine that because everyone has many kinds of expressions when doing different things. I think Champs-Elysees is a good place to let me imagine. When it comes to Champs-Elysees, most people will think about shopping. Besides shopping, some people want to visit famous monuments or museums to widen their knowledge of history, another enjoy some delicious food, and others want to take a rest in the café for eliminating stress on working. First, I want to describe my imagination of some women when they are shopping. According to some resources, one of the famous luxury shops on the Champs-Elysees is LV, and it is also a shop that many Asian women will go. They look like a pride of lions which are ready to hunt all of those bags, their ambitious faces, their firm eyes, and the most frightful is women’s sports psychology and their jealousy, shopping is a war. Second, people in front of monuments or museums, like Arch of Triumph and Louver. Their expressions are full of naïve and sincerity as children to ask those spectacular and ancient buildings give them knowledge and stories about them. Then, when they get the meanings of what they want to know, they will open their mouth gradually, and say “Oh~~, I get it.” Third, those people who are eating delicious food. In the beginning, they will be excited about this restaurant and their meals, when they feel it is so yummy, their eyes will close and enjoy the food dancing and rolling in the mouth, that’s wonderful. The last one is taking the rest in the café. I think they will try to relax themselves, so they are no expression, just watching people walking on the road peacefully. Of course, my imagination is not absolute, just my thoughts to those who are on this road.

Road Trip-- Champs-Elysees

Road Trip— Champs-Elysees

Champs-Elysees is one of the most famous avenues in the world, on the road; we will see many famous buildings and shops. The name in French means the Elysian Fields, the paradise for dead heroes in Greek mythology. It is a wonderful name, and the French also feels proud for it, they even called it "the world's most beautiful avenue." First, standing on the road, we can see the spectacular Arch of triumph at the end of this road. It looks so majestic and stands firmly. This monument was commissioned in 1806 to celebrate the victory and flaunt national prestige after Austerlitz by Emperor Napoleon at the peak of his fortunes. I think its special is that beneath the Arc is the tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I, this Unknown Soldier represents fifteen million soldiers of French died in the war, and it has the eternal flame, lighting every night to recollect the dead who were never identified. However, I feel splendid and solemn. Second, because of its perfectly straight road, we can see another famous and gorgeous museum from Arc of Triumph, Louvre. Louvre is the world’s largest museum and a historic monument in Paris. Louv-

re originally built as a fortress by Augustus, and then converted by several emperors, it becomes a museum now. Then we back to see this road after the introduction of these two famous destinations. I think this road is women’s paradise because it is full of luxury shops, cafés and restaurants. Especially a luxury shop—LV, inside, many Asian women will buy many things because those are very cheaper than Taiwan. Besides, if you feel tired, you can take a rest in a café or restaurant. So every year, Champs-Elysees attracts many tourists because of its famous destinations and many kinds of shops.
